El doctor nos cuenta un poco sobre sus inicios y su trayectoria en la especialidad de Pediatría. Exploramos sus motivaciones que lo llevaron a decidir esta especialidad. Nos comparte parte de los cuidados que necesita un recién nacido y explica algunas recomendaciones a considerar.
Hola, soy el Doctor Luis Felipe Aceves Navarro, soy médico pediatra egresado de Centro Médico de Occidente del Seguro Social y soy avalado por la Universidad de Guadalajara. Tengo ya poco más de 23 años como médico pediatra egresado y me dedico a medicina privada."
P: ¿Cuánto tiempo tiene trabajando en Hospital Hispano?
R= "Al hospital tengo yendo como 15 años, pero trabajando para el hospital como 10 años."P: ¿Cuál fue el motivo que lo hizo elegir su profesión?
R= "Estudias medicina primero con el afán de ayudar a los demás, ayudar a la salud de los demás. Y específicamente pediatría porque para mi los niños son los mejores pacientes, se curan más rápido, se complican menos y son muy agradecidos."
P: ¿Cuáles son los cuidados básicos que debe tener un recién nacido?
R= "En cuanto nace un recién nacido, luego luego cuidamos/valoramos lo que es la respiración, vemos coloración y demás, y hay que cuidar mucho lo respiratorio; y el calor, que no se nos enfrie.
Ya una vez que pasamos a cunero, en el cunero si le damos cuidados básicos y ya cuando se van los papás les damos varias recomendaciones, entre ellas la alimentación, principalmente la leche materna, es el alimento principal de los niños y es la mejor leche que hay. Si es necesario pues ya damos un, su sucedánea, una leche en fórmula.
Cuidados del aseo diario, aseo de pañal, cosas para evitar cólico, ponerlos a repetir, el uso de la ropa, el uso de los jabones especiales para bañarlos, para la ropa. Y básico también, hablarles acerca de Tamíz y vacunación. "
P: ¿Cuál sería un consejo para padres primerizos?
R= "Primero, que gocen a su bebé. Que no estén nerviosos. Porque siempre llegan con preguntas porque todo el mundo les llena de humo la cabeza, entonces te llegan muy nerviosos con mil preguntas que es mas que nada lo que les dicen. Ya una vez que te quitas el estrés y que empiezas a gozar a tu bebé se te haca más sencillo, le transmites la tranquilidad a los bebes y los bebes son mucho más manejables."
P: ¿Cuál es la importancia de la lactancia? ¿Un buen consejo para las mamás que están lactando?
R= "En la lactancia es bien básico comentar que en cuanto nace, no tienen leche... si tienen calostro y al pasar de los días ya aumenta la producción de la leche. Nos pasa mucho con mamás que dicen: -Quiero darle puro seno materno-. pero si no se lo das se le puede bajar la glucosa a los bebes.
Entonces, estar relajadas y tranquilas, porque el estrés también disminuye la producción de leche. La leche materna es el mejor alimento para un recién nacido y es mejor tanto para el desarrollo visual como para el desarrollo cerebral. Ayudamos con formulas para complementar la alimentación, pero una vez que se tiene suficiente leche materna es darle a libre demanda al bebé."
P: ¿Qué es el Tamíz Neonatal y por qué es importante?
R= "El tamíz neonatal es un estudio en el cual se le toma una muestra de sangre al bebé, ya sea del talón o de la mano, a veces la toman del ombligo.
Lo que recomendamos es que se tome después de 72 horas para que no tenga una residual materna. Aquí valoramos varias hormonas, entre ellas la tiroidea que es bien importante; valoramos el metabolismo de grasas, carbohidratos y proteínas; eso ya es de algunas enfermedades específicas, pero valoramos mucho lo que comentaba, tiroides, para ver si no tienen hipotiroidismo congénito; en caso de que lo tenga se le da un tratamiento adecuado antes de dos meses para evitar complicaciones a futuro"

P: ¿Cada cuánto tiempo es recomendado llevar al bebé a una consulta pediátrica?
R= "Por lo general citamos al recién nacido entre ocho y quince días después de haber nacido, la primera consulta. Ya después de eso es una consulta mensual hasta los seis meses, y después de los seis meses cada dos meses. Por cuestiones de pandemia ahorita citamos a lo mejor un poco más retirado para evitar el poner al bebé a otros niños o algún otro contagio."
P: ¿Recomienda Hospital Hispano?
R= "Si, lo recomiendo ampliamente. Hospital Hispano cuenta con todo lo necesario para la atención de un recién nacido sano, incluso pudiéramos llegar hasta manejo de cuidados intermedios. Próximamente esperemos contar con una unidad de cuidados intensivos. Pero tenemos lo necesario para poder recibir a un recién nacido sano."
