El doctor platica un poco sobre los servicios para un recién nacido en Hospital Hispano. Comparte en su experiencia los procesos y algunos estudios que se realizan a los bebés y recomendaciones a los padres de familia.
Hola que tal, buenos días. Su servidor Arturo Castro Morales, soy médico pediatra con una especialidad en infectología pediátrica. Tengo 20 años de experiencia en esta área y eh estado trabajando en conjunto con Hospital Hispano en los últimos 9 años aproximadamente, atendiendo las áreas pediátricas y neonatales del hospital; y en las atenciones de parto.
P: ¿Cuáles son los cuidados básicos que debe tener un recién nacido?
R= "Siempre que un bebé después que lo tenemos y nace, ya sea por parto o cesárea, platicamos con los papás sobre los cuidados que debe tener. Lo primero cuidados en el hospital y posteriormente en casa.Y hacemos énfasis sobre todo en la alimentación al seno materno, es el principal pilar que tenemos/debemos de hacer énfasis con las mamás, sobre todo si son primerizas, en trabajar el seno materno.
La cuestión de la alimentación que debe de llevar, la cuestión de los líquidos que se deben digerir y posteriormente evidentemente trabajamos con cuidados posteriores. El ombliguito que se cortó ahí el muñón umbilical; el baño, vacunas y cualquier detalle que se pueda llegar a presentar.
Evidentemente siempre les dejamos el número telefónico para estar al pendiente, por si cualquier circunstancia que se presente y si hay alguna duda poder resolverla con una llamada."
P: ¿Qué es el Tamíz Neonatal y por qué es importante?
R= "Si, fíjate que el tamíz neonatal ya tenemos algunos años realizándolo, sobre todo hablando del tamíz metabólico; tenemos mas o menos 14-15 años realizando el tamíz metabólico, que es una prueba que se hace tomando 5 gotitas de sangre del bebé, generalmente estamos impuestos a tomarlas del talón, puede ser de cualquier área, de la mano, lo que sea; y este también nos ayuda a hacer un -screening- que se llama un discernimiento de alguna enfermedad que nosotros conocemos como metabólicas, que son enfermedades que no se ven a simple vista y que podemos, mediante este estudio, hacer una detección.
Hay otros tipo de tamíz que también lo platicamos con los papas; el tamíz auditivo, el tamíz cardiológico y cada uno de ellos tiene una finalidad y lo platicamos, como comento, con los papás para que sepan cuál es la finalidad de hacer cada uno de ellos. "
P: ¿Cada cuánto tiempo es recomendado llevar al bebé a una consulta pediátrica?
R= "Normalmente una vez que damos de alta al bebé le dejamos una serie de indicaciones ahí mismo en su habitación donde la mamá/los papás; y les decimos que normalmente estamos viendo a los peques una vez que se fueron a casa, mas o menos cada mes.
Evidentemente si hay alguna constancia, alguna duda que pudiera haber, a la orden vía llamada telefónica para tratar de aclarar cualquier duda que pudiera existir. Pero normalmente los estamos viendo cada mes a todos los recién nacidos durante el primer años de vida."

R= "Una vez que el bebé nace, está en la habitación, pasamos a la habitación y les damos una serie de explicaciones sobre lo que vamos a encontrar con un bebé, por ejemplo: algunos bebés que se hacen algunos bizcos, que si le salieron algunas ronchitas, que si le da hipo, los cuidados que debemos tener con el ombligo en casa.
Tratamos de aclarar todas estas pequeñas dudas que puedan llegar a tener en los primeros días de vida.
